Dream March: Newcastle United - Newcastle United

Newcastle United have been extremely impressive in recent times as they’ve managed to secure seven points from their last three Premier League fixtures.

The Magpies are certainly beginning to build up ahead of steam under Rafa Benitez, which has helped them climb up the table and away from relegation trouble.

But, the month of March will play an even bigger part in their season as they face a number of important challenges, with business off the field possibly coming into play as well, which could include Benitez’s contract situation.

Therefore, here is the dream March for Newcastle United…

One of the biggest worries for fans in recent times has been Rafa Benitez’s future as he is yet to agree a new deal at St James’ Park with his contract set to expire at the end of the current campaign.

According to the Chronicle Live, Rafa Benitez has spoken to Mike Ashley and Lee Charnley about Newcastle’s project and the Spaniard remains ‘hopeful’ the ‘little things’ can be sorted to ensure he signs a new contract.

So, with Benitez feeling hopeful at this moment in time, fans could come to experience their best month in years if Ashley ends up getting the 58-year-old to sign a new deal as he’s played a monumental part in their rise.

Newcastle United secured the services of Miguel Almiron for £21 million back in the January transfer window, and it’s safe to say that he’s already displayed moments of brilliance at St James’ Park.

The South American has impressed during his appearances in the side thus far, but he just hasn’t been able to open his goalscoring account for the Magpies. So, March could turn out to be an incredible one for the Magpies if the 25-year-old starts firing in the Premier League as he would aid Newcastle’s rise up the table and could become a hero.
