Dream March: Southampton - Premier League

Southampton have looked less than convincing in recent times with relegation on the cards if things don’t improve, so Ralph Hasenhuttl will be desperate to enjoy a successful March.

The Saints have impressed under the Austrian boss since he took charge at St Mary’s but a number of injuries and a lack of consistency has taken its toll on proceedings in the Premier League.

Indeed, the month of March will have a huge say on the Saints’ Premier League future, with a positive result against either Manchester United or Spurs possibly sending Hasenhuttl’s side on a positive path.

With that being said, here is the dream March for Southampton…

One of the biggest problems at this moment in time is at the pinnacle of the attack for the Saints as Michael Obafemi has been ruled out for the rest of the season and Danny Ings is currently spending time out on the sidelines.

Indeed, this has left the Saints with Charlie Austin and Shane Long who have both struggled to find their feet in front of goal in the current campaign, so things are getting desperate at St Mary’s.

However, the Saints could be in for a dream March if Hasenhuttl manages to solve the club’s current striker problem by getting the best out of Austin and Long, as this would help boost their survival hopes.

Southampton currently find themselves sitting in the relegation zone after a tough run of results in the Premier League, and things aren’t about to get any easier as the Saints will face Manchester United and Spurs next.

Indeed, one thing that could relieve a lot of pressure this month is climbing away from relegation trouble as fans haven’t had much to cheer about in recent times. It’s safe to say that securing a positive result against either Manchester United or Spurs and then Brighton and Hove Albion would be great for the club and supporters.
