‘Dream on’ – Arsenal fans split over mega-deal boost

The Arsenal fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern have had a lot to deal with in the early stages of the summer window. Having already signed left-back Sead Kolasinac, rumours are continuing to swirl over the next deal.

Whilst additions are a huge part of this summer for Arsenal, keeping hold of their top players is arguably the priority.

With that in mind, manager Arsene Wenger has been handed a boost over the prospect of keeping star man Alexis Sanchez, with reports from Bild (via The Mirror) claiming that German giants Bayern Munich will end any interest they had in the 28-year-old due to his over the top wage demands.

The report claims that the Chilean international is looking for a yearly wage of £22m and, whilst it is unlikely the Gunners will match such demands, for the time being the move to Munich looks to be off.

The news has raised spirits here in the bar at the Tavern and it would seem that feeling is echoed on social media…


However, some Gooners are concerned that Premier League rivals Manchester City could swoop in given their track record of big spending…
