Arsenal fans have been left reeling with reports emerging from Mirror Football that their French defender Laurent Koscielny is wanted by both Barcelona and Bayern Munich.
The 27-year-old, who signed for the Gunners from Lorient in July 2010, was an impressive member of the Arsenal team that secured a fourth place finish in the Premier League and this form has brought interest from abroad for the French international.
Koscielny has recently admitted that he could leave this summer if the Gunners fail to show the right ambition in the transfer market similar to comments made by Robin van Persie last year.
And today his agent Stephane Courbois has confirmed that the centre back is attracting attention from both clubs.
He said: “There is interest. I know that Laurent is part of a shortlist of three or four players for both clubs.”
Arsene Wenger won’t want to lose his star defender this summer but an offer of around £9.5 million could be enough to see him depart the Emirates Stadium despite having three years left on his current contract.
Should Arsenal do everything possible to keep the defender? Rate this rumour below.
