Dutchman to Manchester City? Pep Guardiola should expand his striking options with this lethal forward

Manchester City could well struggle in the summer to add any players who genuinely improve proceedings at the Etihad, with the club running away with the Premier League and still challenging in the Champions League.

The Blue half of Manchester have been simply superb all season, and manager Pep Guardiola deserves heaps of praise for the way he has got his team playing, and he will no doubt be keen to make even more strides knowing how he strives for perfection.

Here in the Tavern, our landlord thinks the club could do with going out and signing a new striker, and one man who has shot to our landlords mind this week is Dutch striker Bas Dost.

The 28-year-old has been one of the standout performers in Europe over the last few years and once again has been blasting in the goals this term to further enhance his already glowing reputation.

Dost has not yet done it on the international stage, but his size and goals record is something which might well appeal to Guardiola and City, who have the talents of Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus to call upon, but when one is injured, they can look short.

Dost would relish a move to the one of the giants of Europe, and he would be hard pressed to reject any sort of move to the Premier League, especially with the Champions elect.

A striker capable of getting the goals and offering a different option to what they have, Dost could be a superb, if not unglamorous, addition for City.

City fans, what do you think? Good signing? Let us know!
