Saturday afternoon and the transfer talk goes a little quieter while people focus their attention on the fixtures. Well here at Transfer Tavern we remain busy trying to bring you the latest gossip on which club is tracking which players.
Armin Bacinovic may not be the most well known name to come out of the hat linked with a Premier League move but the Slovenian is reportedly attracting interest from Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and both Merseyside clubs Liverpool and Everton.
The 21 year old currently plays for Sicilian side Palermo in Serie A. Despite his age he quickly established himself in their first team, being used as a defensive midfielder. He has many key attributes that help him succeed in this area. Namely his tough tackling and high work rate, fans have been impressed with his performances this season.
He has achieved 5 caps for his country while also playing over 10 times at under 21 level. While not established in Italy as a household name just yet, Palermo see him as one for the future so would therefore not be accepting bids for anything less then £10-15 million. Especially as they face the prospect of losing another midfielder in Javier Pastore who is rumoured to be on his way out in the summer if the right offer comes in.
Watch this space for any further developments on the player’s situation and where he may be playing his football next season. It could be a straight fight between Tottenham, Liverpool and Everton as Chelsea are more interested in Pastore. Either way it seems, Palermo are in for a busy summer.
