Tottenham Hotspur have been rather impressive recently after a rather nervy start to the current campaign, with an outside chance of challenging for the title.
The Lilywhites will want to secure a top four at the very least this season, but they will face competition from a number of sides throughout the remainder of the current campaign. And, they suffered a setback on the transfer front recently, as according to the Daily Mail, Eddie Howe insists Bournemouth will not sell Nathan Ake.
Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe is not surprised to hear Tottenham and Manchester United are reportedly keeping a close eye on Nathan Ake – but stressed the defender remains a ‘massive part’ of his team.
Spurs are said to be tracking the 23-year-old, with a view to bolstering their own defences in the January window.
“I would say with any type of speculation that you are linked with, the clubs he’s been mentioned with, it’s a good sign.
“However, that doesn’t mean we’re about to lose him – he’s a massive part of what we are doing.”
Nathan Ake has developed into one of the best central defenders in the Premier League since making the move to Bournemouth, with the likes of Tottenham and Manchester United now interested in his services.
Although, Spurs will be gutted that the Cherries have no intention of selling him as he could be seen as a potential replacement for Toby Alderweireld, whose future is currently surrounded with doubt.Like what the TT have on offer? Sign up for more notifications!
