Unai Emery is usually a man who gets the big calls right, and the Gunners rightly love him for it. Bar their drumming against Liverpool this season has been a relatively pain-free one and they’ll be desperate to cap it off with Europa League success. To do that they need to get past Stade Rennais, and the fans want Eddie Nketiah to start against them today.

The Gunners will be hoping for nothing but a win later when they face the Ligue 1 side in France at the slightly earlier kick-off time of 17:55. Playing at that time is far from ideal seeing as a lot of the Gunners will be at work still or mid-commute, yet for the players, it makes little difference, and Nketiah will be desperate to shine if he’s afforded the opportunity later on.
Ahead of the clash, the team news is in and with Alexandre Lacazette suspended and Danny Welbeck still out with what looks like a season-ending injury, the only options available to Emery in that centre-forward role are Nketiah and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. The chances are Auba will be used, yet with Emery, anything can happen and the fans would love to see Nketiah grab some minutes.

Chances will come for you at some stage @EddieNketiah9 and I'm confident you'll take those opportunities now you've had a small taste of first team football. All the best!

The Gunners have serious hopes of watching Nketiah given a starting role later today and will hope the youngster can star in France.
