Arsenal will be gutted that they failed to take anything away from the Etihad yesterday as they now find themselves behind in the race for a top four spot.
The Gunners looked vulnerable at times in defence during yesterday’s match against the defending Premier League champions, with Stephan Lichtsteiner putting in another woeful performance.
However, it appears as if Unai Emery has turned his attention towards the summer transfer window, as according to The Mirror, Arsenal are keeping tabs on Adrien Rabiot.
Interestingly, Arsenal are keeping tabs on the 23-year-old, but the likes of Liverpool, Spurs and Bayern Munich are also interested in signing the midfielder.
Unai Emery worked with Rabiot for two years as PSG boss and he’s a big fan of the Frenchman and would like a reunion at the Emirates Stadium.
Indeed, the Gunners already have a number of central midfielders already at the club, so he could be seen as a potential replacement for Aaron Ramsey.
Adrien Rabiot, who is valued at £45 million (by Transfermarkt), hasn’t been able to enjoy regular minutes at Paris Saint-Germain, with his contract set to expire at the end of the season.
So, the Gunners will be hoping that Emery’s previous work alongside the Frenchman will help lure him to the Emirates, with a number of other big clubs chasing him.
