Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern are waiting to see what Unai Emery will bring to the team this summer and will be hoping to get the team back into the Champions League.
The locals in the bar became frustrated with Arsene Wenger during the final years of his reign and have called for the new manager to make a number of additions to the squad, which according to reports looks likely to happen.
Football.London are claiming that Arsenal are planning on bringing at least another two players to the Emirates Stadium, with a goalkeeper allegedly on the agenda. They are already nearing deals for Sokratis Papastathopoulos and Stephan Lichtsteiner, whilst they still retain hopes to sign Caglar Soyuncu.
Indeed, Sven Mislintat is understood to be targetting a further two defensive targets in what must be good news for Arsenal, who look like they are trying to act quickly on the recruitment front.
The new Arsenal manager is clearly ready to make a number of changes with the Gunners as he prepares for his first season in England’s top-flight and will be working hard to ensure he can bring in his top targets.
The defence has certainly been an area for concern for a number of years for the Emirates Stadium and it appears Emery has made it his main task to bring in reinforcements to the side, especially with Laurent Koscielny’s serious injury towards the end of the campaign.
