Arsenal can’t afford to slip-up many more times if they are to secure a top-four place in the current campaign, with the likes of Chelsea and Spurs picking up the pace.
The Gunners will be desperate to return to winning ways after last weekend’s disappointment at St Mary’s, with Unai Emery having plenty to ponder ahead of kick-off later on today.
Indeed, Arsenal will welcome Sean Dyche’s Burnley side to the Emirates in their next Premier League fixture. The Clarets managed to hold Spurs to a draw for 90 minutes before conceding in added on time, so the Gunners will have to be patient if they are to secure all three points tomorrow.
With that in mind, Emery can keep Arsenal’s top-four hopes alive if these TWO stars hit top form tomorrow…
Henrikh Mkhitaryan has been swapped in and out of the side this season but he finally appears to be producing performances worthy of a permanent place, with four goals and three assists to his name.
The Armenian international was on fire in the Gunners’ last outing as he scored both of their goals at St Mary’s.
Therefore, Emery has to turn to the attacking midfielder later on today, as his trickery and ability to find the back of the net could come in handy against a Burnley side that love to sit back.
Alexandre Lacazette arguably deserves the opportunity to prove himself in the side later on today after putting in a very promising performance against Southampton. The Frenchman started on the substitutes’ bench but he completely changed the game after being brought on, providing the assist for the second goal.
So, after witnessing Alex Iwobi’s disappointing performance last time out, perhaps Emery should push Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang out wide and bring in Lacazette to cause trouble with his pace and power through the middle.
