Tottenham striker set to play through injury to aid club’s title push

Tottenham Hotspur v Chelsea - Barclays Premier LeagueTottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has been in superb form again this season and his 16 Premier League strikes have propelled Spurs into serious contention for their first Premier League title.

A broken nose suffered in Sunday’s 1-0 reverse at the hands of Crystal Palace in the FA Cup had threatened to derail the club’s progress somewhat, as it seemed that they may be without their clinical talisman for quite some time.

One Spurs fan has spotted a really positive piece of news in the Daily Telegraph which claims that Kane is set to play on, despite his broken nose, after the club fitted him with a protective mask.

The news is massive for Mauricio Pochettino’s men who face a tricky looking Europa League encounter with Fiorentina on Thursday night, but can now look forward to the prospect of having the England striker available, although his boss has admitted he might not start the game.

One Spurs fan here in the Transfer Tavern is buzzing by this news and has raced to the bar to get a round in, stating that Kane is instrumental to Spurs’ fortunes on the pitch and without him their title hopes would be all but gone.

Spurs fans… What do you make to this news? Are you satisfied that Kane will play through his injury? Will you win on Thursday night?
