England Under-21 star will cost Liverpool AT LEAST £25m

Saido Berahino Liverpool fans fill the Football Transfer Tavern with excitement as they continue to be linked with West Bromwich Albion’s star man but it is believed the Baggies are going to do all they can to hold on to their talisman.

According to the Daily Mail, Saido Berahino has emerged as a possible January transfer target for Brendan Rodgers with the Reds boss desperate to add more firepower to his squad after Mario Balotelli’s poor start to life back in the Premier League.

But the Baggies are said to be stubborn on the matter and will not part company with their prized possession unless the Merseyside club meet their valuation, which is believed to be at least £25 million.

Liverpool fans hope Rodgers is ruthless in the January transfer window and sets an example by doing everything in his power to sign the 21-year-old, regardless as to whether or not he is able to shift the misfiring Balotelli.

Our resident Reds supporters fear that they may miss out on the England Under-21 star in the summer if they do not sign him up in January, as he currently stands as the top English scorer in the Premier League.

If Berahino manages to maintain his good form throughout the season and he displays his potential to the world, then there will undoubtedly be interest from around Europe.

Liverpool fans. Would Saido Berahino represent a good January addition or should Rodgers be looking at proven European-based stars like Gonzalo Higuain? Let us know your thoughts below.
