One of the players who is attracting a significant amount of interest here at the Football Transfer Tavern is Lisandro Lopez. The player has not only being linked with Juventus by Goal.com but now fellow Serie A side Fiorentina too by French publication Le 10 Sport.
Lopez currently plays his trade in Ligue 1 for Lyon and despite claiming he is happy at the Stade Gerland-based club, he has been linked with a move abroad. Serie A has been the destination that has seemed most likely with the player firstly being linked to Juventus.
The Turin club have long been linked with a move for a striker this transfer window with Didier Drogba and Fernando Llorente strongly mooted in The Independent this month. However the club have also glanced at 14 million euro rated Lopez.
Juventus are not the only club sniffing around with Fiorentina strongly coveting the player too. Sadly for them however, the striker has been deemed ‘inaccessible’ by Fiorentina’s president Andrea Della Valle and looks to be going nowhere.
The Argentina international has managed to net 54 times in 102 games for Les Gones and bagged the winner in the French Cup final last season to give Lyon their only trophy of the campaign.
As our landlord adds, Sky Sports have even reported there is English interest in the player with his agent noting a move is not a done deal stating: “It is not true that Lisandro has already said farewell to Lyon fans. There has been a misunderstanding. I am waiting on news from Italy and England.”
