The man neither Liverpool or Stoke wanted. Not the hottest introduction you’ll ever see a potential signing ever given, but we may as well call it as it is.
Loic Remy is the boy. He’s 23 and plays for Nice. A decent enough scoring record and for those who are of such a disposition I would imagine there are yards of YouTubage available demonstrating the very moment he overtook sliced bread in The Best Thing Stakes.
How much would he cost? Probably about £10 million. I find the idea pretty unappealing. There is a suggestion this as part of UK roadshow which may yet include more suitors than just Stoke and ourselves.
Word is filtering out that Craig Bellamy is still in the frame.
Let’s please hope so.
