Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern will be looking for the club to make a number of additions this summer as they look to compete with their rivals for silverware.
Jurgen Klopp will be keen to make a number of new signings during the transfer window and has already been making inroads with his recruitment drive. The Reds have already confirmed deals for the likes of Naby Keita and Fabinho and they have been busy looking for a new goalkeeper and trying to agree to a deal with Olympique de Lyonnais for Nabil Fekir.
According to reports in Turkish-Football, Liverpool are considering making a move for Caglar Soyuncu, who has been impressing for SC Freiburg this season. The defender has been attracting interest from Arsenal, however, the Anfield outfit are preparing to monitor the powerful 22-year-old during Turkey’s international friendly with Russia.
The Liverpool fans in the Tavern will be hoping they can strike a deal for a new centre-back in the future as there have been concerns with who can be relied upon. Klopp’s side currently have Virgil van Dijk, Dejan Lovern and Ragnar Klavan, however, the latter duo have appeared to be suspect at times. Indeed, if Soyuncu does join, he’d be a wonderful replacement for Klavan, who surely has no real future at Anfield.
The Reds will need to bring in a centre-back to help with their aims of competing across all competitions next year and Soyuncu could be the ideal man to help them achieve it.
