Eredivisie ace lined up for summer Manchester United switch

moyes.jpgIt’s set to be a very different landscape at Old Trafford this summer after it was pretty much confirmed last night that the Red Devils wouldn’t be featuring in the Champions League next season.

Defeat to Bayern Munich saw them exit this season’s competition and David Moyes’ side are seventh in the Premier League, seven points off Arsenal in fourth, with only a handful of games remaining

This is likely to cause some issues in Moyes pursuing his major transfer targets with some lesser known names perhaps heading to Old Trafford instead.

One of those could be PSV Eindhoven right back Santiago Arias with The Sun suggesting that Moyes is ready to move for the Colombian defender.

The 22-year-old has emerged as one of the finest young talents in the Eredivisie with a host of top clubs reportedly circling for his services.

Scouts from Old Trafford have apparently made repeated trips to Holland as they look to bring the former Sporting Lisbon defender to Manchester with Moyes hopeful of completing a deal before the transfer window closes.

Arias only arrived at PSV last year from Sporting but he could on the move again as United get ready to spend their reported £200 million transfer war chest in what is guaranteed to be a massive summer.

Is Arias a name that you would like to see arriving at United this summer or do the Red Devils require more household names? Let us know your thoughts below.
