Tottenham Hotspur won’t be too pleased with how results against Liverpool, Inter Milan and Watford went, but things took a turn for the better against Brighton and Hove Albion today.
Spurs made a perfect start to their Premier League campaign, but the wheels have come off the bus recently as they seem to be slipping away from the title race. And, it looks as if there’s even more unrest in the Tottenham camp, as according to Sun Sport, Toby Alderweireld, Danny Rose and Christian Eriksen are all demanding raises after Harry Kane’s stunning new contract.
Indeed, Tottenham Hotspur are fighting growing dressing-room unrest over Harry Kane’s huge contract worth more than £200,000-a-week.
And, Danny Rose, Christian Eriksen and Toby Alderweireld have all demanded improved terms to match the England striker’s percentage pay rise.
The three of them are believed to be looking for pay hikes of around 40 per cent — but Levy refuses to match other top clubs’ salaries.
Meanwhile, Eriksen will not commit to a new deal until the club ups his pay grade.
Alderweireld, Rose and Eriksen have all played a huge part in Pochettino’s rise in North London and will continue to provide quality in the future. But, this could all depend on whether their demands are met as they’re currently searching for raises to match Harry Kane’s.
Tottenham would be silly not to meet the demands of the players as they risk losing some of the best in the Premier League, and could go on a massive slide.
