According to reports in the Daily Mirror Chelsea winger Florent Malouda is considering his future at the club after being left out of Roberto Di Matteo’s first Chelsea squad for the FA Cup replay against Birmingham City on Tuesday night.
The French winger has enjoying his fifth season at Stamford Bridge and still has one year remaining on his current deal after this summer.
The 31-year-old has been reluctant to leave the London club but is now considering his options this summer as he has fallen behind Juan Mata in the Chelsea pecking order.
He could have been forgiven for believing a new start may come following the sacking of Andre Villas-Boas who seen him as a fringe player but indications suggest Di Matteo also sees Malouda as a fringe player who may well be moved on during the summer.
If a move is to materialise then a French club is the most likely destination for Malouda as Chelsea look to Mata and Sturridge to be the future of the club.
