Bad news for the Arsenal fans in the Football Transfer Tavern…
Aaron Ramsey has been impressing for Arsenal over the past few years, but it would appear that his fine form could come at a price for the Gunners…
According to the Sun, Real Madrid are keeping tabs on the Welsh midfielder – and could be set to launch a surprise £25 million move.
Crucially, any deal would be forced to wait until 2018 due to Madrid’s current transfer ban – but it would appear that Zinedine Zidane is already preparing for the future; and he appears keen to add to his Welsh contingent at the Spanish giants.
Should Ramsey make the move he would, of course, join Welsh team-mate Gareth Bale – who made the record-breaking move to Madrid from Tottenham in 2013.
Despite struggling for fitness this season, the 2015/16 campaign was somewhat of a breakout year for Ramsey. He made nearly 30 league starts, and scored 5 goals and garnered 4 assists.
The Arsenal fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are seriously concerned about this, as it would be very difficult for the midfielder to resist the allure of one of Europe’s biggest clubs.
Our landlord, however, is slightly more optimistic – and feels that Madrid wouldn’t be able to give Ramsey the first-team football that he craves, even if they promise him it.
