Euro giants ready to meet huge £35m Newcastle valuation as Pogba replacement

Paul Pogba’s colossal move to Manchester United is likely to have knock on effects all across the continental transfer market, much to the delight of the rumour ravaged punters in the Transfer Tavern.

Such is the magnitude of that deal, it is likely to create a vacuum at Juventus, as they look to replace their engine room lynchpin with money to burn.

With that in mind, the Newcastle United fans propping up the bar this evening haven’t been shocked to hear reports from the Guardian that their club could see a knock on effect.

They claim that the Old Lady are ready to move for Pogba’s French international teammate, Moussa Sissoko.

The 26-year old has been strongly linked with moves to the likes of Spurs, Liverpool and Arsenal ever since the Magpies’ relegation to the Championship.

He is understood to have had a £35m valuation slapped on him by the Tyneside titans, though Everton are also believed to be keen after missing out on teammate Georginio Wijnaldum.

Flush with cash, the Serie A champions are said to be willing to meet the Toon’s huge valuation as they plan for life without Pogba.
