European boss backs Mourinho to hand Man United ‘instant success’

mourinho4567Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern have found themselves agreeing with comments made by a former manager of a Premier League rival.

Metro, quoting comments from BBC Radio 5 Liveattribute immense praise to new Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho from the man who replaced him at Chelsea last season, Guus Hiddink.

Mourinho was sacked in December after a disastrous start to the Premier League campaign and Hiddink, who came in to steady the ship on a temporary deal, is backing Mourinho to achieve instant success at his new club.

‘Mourinho is a coach who can deliver a performance, a success, an instant success. The competition is tough in England especially, but big clubs have to be there in the top three, top four always.’

The 2016/17 campaign is gearing up to be the most competitive in history, with Mourinho’s United tackling Antonio Conte at Chelsea, Arsene Wenger at Arsenal, Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool and Pep Guardiola across the City.

Our landlord is hedging his bets for now but agrees with Hiddink, stating Mourinho will certainly get United back on track.
