European boss set to take managerial position with Chelsea

AllegriChelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern have sunk a lot of drinks this season to forget a disastrous campaign but it appears things may be on the up, with reports suggesting their managerial search is nearing a conclusion.

The Sun quotes the mentor of Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri as stating the experienced Italian will take up a ‘truly fantastic’ role at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea have Guus Hiddink in a temporary role until the end of the season, who they remain unbeaten under, but the Dutchman has been unable to provide the kick that would see the Blues join the hunt for a top-four finish.

A new boss was always set to come in when the summer arrives and Giovanni Galeone believes Allegri will be that man.

“If I were Allegri, I would even walk there and I think he will. Allegri is certainly among the five best coaches in the world. I think he will leave Juve because the offer from Chelsea is truly fantastic.”

“For me, it would make no sense staying in Italy. Like I said, I think he will leave Juventus and I can see him doing very well in England.”

Our landlord believes Allegri is the perfect man for Chelsea and has urged Roman Abramovich to seal this deal quickly.
