Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern are excited to hear their chances of signing a big name from the continent have increased, following the latest reports.
German media outlet Kicker states Borussia Dortmund have changed their stance on the future of Henrikh Mkhitaryan and are prepared to sell the talented Armenian international, with Manchester United holding strong interest.
The 27-year-old has just 12 months remaining on his contract with Dortmund but the German side were happy to see him run down the duration of that deal, having already lost Mats Hummels to Bayern Munich and Ilkay Gundogan to Manchester City.
However, Mkhitaryan’s agent Mino Raiola has been pushing for an exit from his client and it’s now reported the Bundesliga giants are prepared to sell, with it costing United £30.6m to land the assist-king.
Jose Mourinho has already spent £30m this summer to land the services of Eric Bailly but our landlord believes that’s just a small splash in the water, as he anticipates a staggering wealth will be spent by the Red Devils.
United fans, should you offer this fee to land Mkhitaryan? Let us know in the comments below!
