Fans from across the Manchester divide in the Transfer Tavern have been united in their excitement this morning, after they heard reports that a prime transfer target of theirs will be allowed to leave this summer.
Spanish outlet Marca state Juventus have informed Paul Pogba he can leave this summer as long as his valuation is met, with the French international being heavily linked with Manchester United and Manchester City in recent seasons.
Pogba left the Premier League and Manchester United in 2012, due to a lack of first-team opportunities, and has since won four successive Serie A crowns and cemented his claim as one of the best players in world football.
Juventus have a gentleman’s agreement in place with Pogba, which will allow the midfielder to move if a suitable offer comes in, but any interested party is expected to have to set a new world-record figure in the process.
Real Madrid seems the most likely destination for Pogba, as Pep Guardiola has cooled the Citizens interest in the midfielder and Manchester United cannot offer their former player Champions League opportunities.
Will Pogba still be at Juventus next season? Let us know in the comments below!
