European giant insist Chelsea and Man City target will not be sold

BonucciThere’s been double disappointment in the Transfer Tavern today, with both Chelsea and Manchester City fans hearing a defensive target will not be signed this summer.

TalkSport, citing reports from Italian publication TuttoSportstate Juventus have insisted they will not part ways with experienced defender Leonardo Bonucci this summer.

Antonio Conte, who will take charge of Chelsea after his venture with Italy at this summer’s European Championships, was keen to unite with his compatriot at Stamford Bridge, particularly with captain John Terry set for an exit.

Meanwhile, Manchester City put Bonucci at the top of their wish-list as they chase defensive targets under Pep Guardiola this summer but it seems both Premier League sides will be left empty-handed in their chase.

Bonucci has been a star in Turin since joining the club six years ago and is approaching 200 Serie A appearances with the Italian giants, whilst he’s on-course to win his fourth title.

Our landlord feels it’s hardly surprising Juventus won’t let Bonucci go and believes the Premier League pair would be better off looking elsewhere.

Will Bonucci come to the Premier League this summer? Let us know in the comments below!
