Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern are hoping for vast changes next season to improve upon their success but they’ve raised their concerns after hearing this piece of gossip from the continent.
Italian daily outlet Gazzetta Dello Sport states Juventus have added Arsenal ace Mesut Ozil to their summer wish-list, as they seek to add a creative player to their midfield after failing to replace Andrea Pirlo last summer.
The lack of a player in this position didn’t hurt Juventus too much in Serie A this season, as they landed their fifth successive title, but last year’s Champions League runners-up failed to compete for European honours this season and are desperately keen to improve in that aspect.
Juventus have a number of players in their sights, including Roma’s Miralim Pjanic and Bayern Munich’s Mario Gotze, but their quest to land Ozil has been boosted by the fact he’s still yet to tie himself down to a new contract at the Emirates.
Ozil’s deal has two-years remaining, and he is expected to extend that deal, but further delays will only increase the worries amongst Arsenal fans.
Will Arsenal manage to keep Alexis and Ozil this summer? Let us know in the comments below!
