Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern are far from impressed with their displays this season, with many in the bar searching for other sports to pass their time and decrease their frustration levels.
They’re pleased to hear that a major flop could be on his way out though, as CalcioMercato state AC Milan will launch an £11m swoop for Marouane Fellaini with the funds they receive from the sale of Luiz Adriano.
Adriano only signed for the club in July but he’s on the brink of a £10.5m switch to China and AC Milan want to reinvest that cash instantly, eying Fellaini’s compatriot Axel Witsel along with the Red Devils man.
Arriving in Manchester at start of David Moyes’ ill-fated regime at Old Trafford, Fellaini has failed to put in the sort of performances that saw him rise to fame at Everton. Now, he’s surplus to requirements in Louis Van Gaal’s eyes.
The 27-year-old is not short of potential suitors though, with Chelsea and Tottenham also keen, but our landlord believes United will choose to send Fellaini abroad rather than to a direct Premier League rival.
United fans, would you accept this sale of Fellaini? Let us know in the comments below!
