Arsenal have had misery upon misery piled upon them in recent weeks, particularly with their performances on field, and the lot in the Transfer Tavern are likely to be on the verge of tears after Barcelona tear them apart this evening.
The Catalan giants aren’t one for taking misery upon their opponents, after all they line-up with Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez AND Neymar, so we’re not at all surprised to see them looking to kick Arsenal when they’re down.
Fichajes states Barcelona are looking to bring Hector Bellerin back to Spain this summer, reuniting the young full-back with the club he abandoned in 2011 to eventually become a cult hero in north London.
With Dani Alves not getting any older, and also being a bit pants defensively, Bellerin is certainly an appealing prospect and he wouldn’t be the first player to leave Arsenal for Barcelona- though it hasn’t always worked out swimmingly for those on the move.
Arsenal fans will be hoping that Bellerin looks at the likes of Alexander Hleb, Alex Song and Thomas Vermaelen and deciding the club isn’t for him but when you’re offered the chance to play with Messi instead of Olivier Giroud, it’s quite difficult to turn down.
Is Bellerin leaving for Barcelona inevitable? Let us know in the comments below!
