European giant ready to beat Arsenal to long-term midfield target

RabiotPSGArsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern have had their bubble burst this evening, after their round of drinks was disrupted by news a European giant is set to beat the Gunners to a midfield recruit.

The Daily Express states the president of AC Milan will be in attendance for tonight’s Champions League clash between Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea, where he will discuss a potential move for Adrien Rabiot.

Rabiot has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League during recent transfer windows and the future of the young Frenchman was thrown in further doubt yesterday with the announcement of a new contract for midfield rival Adrien Rabiot.

As such, Rabiot looks set to leave Paris this summer and Milan want to secure a deal- with club president Erick Thohir set to meet with PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi.

That may potentially leave Arsenal out in the cold, with the Gunners keen for midfield recruits this summer as Mikel Arteta, Mathieu Flamini and Tomas Rosicky all see their contracts in North London expire.

Our landlord thinks this could be good news for Arsenal though, as he’s identified Rabiot as a troublemaker and he’s not convinced he will fit in with Arsenal’s squad.
