European giant ready to hijack Arsenal’s £24m swoop for assist king

Henrikh MkhitaryanmlArsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern have seen their hopes of securing one of the finest creators in European football take a blow, after reports emerged of some huge competition in the transfer market.

TransferMarketWeb says Juventus are ready to hijack Arsenal’s transfer for Borussia Dortmind star Henrikh Mkhitaryan and are keen to fast-track a deal worth £24m.

The Armenian international has been in stunning form this season as he’s contributed 19 assists in the Bundesliga, just two shy of the single-season record set by Kevin De Bruyne at Wolfsburg last term, and has also struck 18 goals.

27-year-old Mkhitaryan has just 13 month remaining on his deal with the Bundesliga outfit and is expected to be one of a few high-profile departures from Dortmund this summer, with The Sun stating last month he’s house-hunting in London.

Should Arsenal land Mkhitaryan, they’d boast the two most creative players in Europe as they already have Mesut Ozil in their side, whilst the Armenian’s goal tally is higher than Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud.

Arsenal fans, should Mkhitaryan be a prime-target this summer? Let us know in the comments below!
