European giant readying move for Manchester City striker

Jovetic.jpgOur resident Manchester City fans have been delighted to hear that flop Stevan Jovetic could be set to leave their club permanently earlier than anticipated, according to talkSPORT.

They claim that Atletico Madrid are preparing a deal for the forward, who failed to make an impact following his move from Serie A outfit Fiorentina.

The 26-year old, currently back in Italy on an 18-month loan deal with former City boss Roberto Mancini at Inter Milan, is under an obligation to make his move to the San Siro permanent this December.

However, the Italian club have reportedly lost their interest in the Montenegro striker and don’t want to pay the £12 million fee that is required.

And according to whispers amongst the punters here in the Tavern, that has caused Spanish giants Atletico to become interested, and they are said to be prepared to pay the necessary £12 million.

Manchester City fans, would you like to see Jovetic play under Guardiola or is he simply not good enough? Let us know in the comments below!
