Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern have been handed a tough pill to swallow, as their frustrations reached overdrive following confirmation they were stuck with an underperforming star.
Talksport states Monaco have confirmed that they will not cut-short Radamel Falcao’s loan stint in West London, where the Colombian has failed to impress.
Chelsea took a risk by landing the Manchester United flop on-loan for the season, a decision many of our punters never agreed with, and the Blues decision to hand the South American a fresh chance has not paid off.
Falcao has struggled with injury problems this term and when fit he’s failed to shine in Chelsea’s first-team, scoring just once and showing himself to be an expensive burden on the struggling Premier League side.
Our punters were given some hope that this nightmare could be ended prematurely by Falcao’s parent club Monaco but the French principality side’s vice-president Vadim Vasilyev ruled-out an early return.
“Falcao is currently injured. He has six to eight weeks to go like that. We have decided not to take him back to Monaco for the moment.”
Whilst our Chelsea locals understand Monaco’s reasons for not bringing Falcao back, they desperately want the Colombian off their books as they pray for additions that can get their awful season back on track.
Chelsea fans, will Falcao be at all useful this season? Let us know in the comments below!
