Spanish media outlet AS state Real Madrid are seriously considering the sale of Gareth Bale this summer, with Los Blancos becoming increasingly agitated at the consistent injury problems the former Tottenham Hotspur man has sustained.
Bale, who cost the Spanish giants over €100m, has featured in just 44% of Real Madrid’s games this season and his regular injury problems have meant Bale has cost Real a staggering €750k per game.
The Welshman has now missed the last six Real Madrid matches and he isn’t expected to be available for this weekend’s crucial derby with Atletico Madrid. However, his absence isn’t too much of a concern as Real Madrid don’t seem to struggle without him.
That in itself has led to the change in stance for Real Madrid, who have made it clear before to Manchester United that the player will not be sold, but the Red Devils now have a genuine chance of landing his signature this summer.
