European giant step-up pursuit of Chelsea midfielder

OscarChelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern have endured a woeful season and the black cloud continues to lurk around them as they sink a few pints to ease some pain, after it was claimed a fan-favourite could be on his way out.

The Daily Express states Italian giants Juventus are increasing their attempts to sign Oscar from Chelsea, with the Brazilian’s transfer likely to go through at the end of the season.

Juventus have held interest in Oscar since the summer, as they look to finally find a replacement for Andrea Pirlo, but a deal could not be ironed out. However, with Chelsea extremely unlikely to land Champions League football next term, a number of top players could leave Stamford Bridge.

24-year-old Oscar is just one of the underperforming players this season, with fans unhappy at his tally of just five goals and three assists in 24 matches.

However, our punters still believe Oscar is a great player and that he will only continue to improve as the years progress- so they’ll be gutted to potentially see the Brazilian leave.

Our landlord believes it’s a concerning time for Chelsea as he feels a number of high-profile exits will take place, with top-players leaving to continue playing Champions League football.

Chelsea fans, how crucial is Oscar to your future? Let us know in the comments below!
