Punters in the Football Transfer Tavern are looking away from their pints and over to the bar as Metro claim that an Italian giant have denied links with two Premier League stars.
Inter Milan have been linked with two forwards who have not quite had the seasons they wished for in the Premier League and now it seems that those links could well be premature.
Chelsea’s Fernando Torres has been linked with the club, and despite a small resurgence under Jose Mourinho, in reality, the Spanish forward has not really delivered as expected since his huge money move.
Likewise, Manchester United’s Javier Hernandez has struggled under David Moyes and as our punters note, he is not the only forward at Old Trafford who is looking towards the exit door.
Despite these links, Inter Milan president Erick Thohir noted: “At the end of the season we will evaluate everything, both the young players and the more experienced ones.
“We want to build a strong squad for the future with a view not just to next season but to the next three.
“I think he Hernandez is a good player. But we haven’t spoken to either him or Fernando Torres.”
Do you think that either Hernandez or Torres could move to Inter Milan yet? Let us know your thoughts below.
