The Daily Telegraph have succeeded in getting all Manchester United fans looking up and smiling here in the Football Transfer Tavern as they seem to think that Real Madrid are ready to try their luck.
The La Liga side of course want David De Gea but as one of our punters notes, the Red Devils stopper still has 18 months left to run on his current deal.
Despite talk of De Gea signing a new contract imminently – or if you believe some media outlets – having already signed a new deal, Real Madrid are willing to wait until De Gea’s current deal runs out when they can land him on a free transfer.
Given Carlo Ancelotti already has Iker Casillas and Keylor Navas at his disposal, we think that he can afford to wait for Spanish international De Gea who by goalkeeping terms is just a baby at just 24-years-old.
Our resident Red Devils stop laughing for a second and note that there is no chance that United will wait and let him leave without the big bucks being offered.
Manchester United fans. Will Victor Valdes quite simply have to get used to spending elongated spells on the substitutes bench? Let us know your thoughts below.
