European giants on alert as Chelsea slash asking price for star-man

HazardChelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are growing actively frustrated with their sides transfer reports, with it now being stated a star could be allowed to leave for a cut-price fee.

French media outlet Buzzsport sensationally claim that Chelsea have reduced their asking price for Eden Hazard to just £61.5m which, although still expensive, is a massive decline on the prices initially stated.

Hazard has struggled to find form this season with the defending Premier League champions languishing just four points above the relegation zone and, with Champions League football next year seemingly impossible to secure, a number of star-names are expected to depart.

Belgian international Hazard is top of the exit list and the latest reports state Paris Saint-Germain are leading the race for his signature, though their has been reported interest from a number of top-sides in Europe.

Chelsea want to keep hold of Hazard, and their other stars, but accept that without Champions League football this is incredibly difficult and a departure for the Belgian now seems inevitable.

Whilst our punters argue this is too low a fee for Hazard, our landlord believes it’s a fair price for the Belgian star.
