European giants revive interest in international Man Utd midfielder

Fellaini 4Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern have gathered onto the sofas to discuss news of a possible exit this summer, regarding a player they’d be happy to shift out of Old Trafford.

The Daily Mirror states AC Milan are reviving their interest in Marouane Fellaini and are hoping to land the midfielder in a £12m deal, after seeing a loan move for the Belgian international rejected in January.

Fellaini has struggled to make an impact at Old Trafford since moving across the North West from Everton and he’s highly likely to leave the club this summer, with AC Milan keen to take the experienced midfielder to Italy.

However, there’s a hitch in any deal regarding the player’s contract and Milan want United to help fund Fellaini’s mammoth £100k-a-week wages. With the Red Devils desperate to get Fellaini off their books, this could be possible.

Finance is no issue for Manchester United, who are ready to go on a mammoth spending spree this summer, so they may be happy to subsidise some of Fellaini’s wages in order to free space within their squad.

Our landlord feels United should take this deal immediately, as he feels Fellaini has been a massive waste of money.
