The unthinkable happened at White Hart Lane last night.
Not only did Tottenham show some character to come back from a goal down when under pressure but Roberto Soldado scored the decisive goal in the Capital One Cup third round against Stuart Pearce’s Nottingham Forest.
It’s been a difficult time for the Spaniard since his £26 million move from Valencia last summer.
He managed just six Premier League goals last season, of which four came from the penalty spot.
But his instinctive finish last night was the sort we had become so accustomed to seeing in Spain and no doubt Tottenham fans will be hoping it is the first on the way to him turning his Spurs career around.
But it certainly came as a surprise to the rest of us, not least Sky Sports.
They were so shocked in fact, they considered it to be more likely Soldado had put through his own net judging by their score graphic in the top left corner! See for yourself below!
