According to The Guardian, Everton are on the brink of announcing midfielder Muhamed Besic as their second signing of the summer.
Besic, who currently plays for Ferencvaros, has joined them on a pre-season trip to Thailand as Roberto Martinez looks to add depth to his squad.
The 21-year-old represented Bosnia-Herzegovina in the World Cup and it now looks as though he did enough to impress Martinez who worked in Brazil as a pundit.
Reports suggest that Besic will not feature in a friendly against newly promoted side Leicester City in Bangkok but has confirmed that he has travelled with the first team squad.
“The next few days will allow Mo to meet the players,” Martinez told the official Everton website.
“But more importantly it is an opportunity for him to get into optimum condition ahead of the new season.
“I am looking forward to introducing him to the Everton fans when we come back but first I would like to thank Ferencvaros for the way in which they have approached the negotiations.
“They have been very understanding at this point and we have enjoyed a good working relationship.”
Besic becomes the second midfielder to sign for the Toffees this summer after Gareth Barry put pen to paper after his contract at Manchester City expired.
