Our Everton and Middlesbrough fans here in the Transfer Tavern are still conversing over their 0-0 draw from the weekend but, according to The Mirror, a battle off the pitch looks likely, too.
It wasn’t the best game we consumed here in the Tavern over the weekend as awful weather hammered down on the players at the Riverside in a game both would have wanted to win.
They’ve got very different aims by the end of the campaign, too, but it appears after that there’s at least one shared interest for the summer – Elias Kachunga of Huddersfield.
The striker has been on-loan with the in-form Yorkshire club this season with ten goals to his name in all competitions.
Nine of those have come in the Championship as David Wagner’s side continue to challenge for the play-off spots and so he’ll be keen to keep that up until May.
Past then, though, he could be off if his move is not made permanent and his parent club FC Inglostadt decide they do not want him.
Either Everton or Boro could be his destination, then, but it’s thought Watford are also keen so a real battle could ensue in the coming months.
