Everton and West Brom reportedly lodge offers for 26-year-old as European race continues

Our Everton and West Brom fans here in the Transfer Tavern are engrossed in their battle on the pitch at the moment but, as per Abel Hernandez’s agent, things could heat up off of it too.

Both the Toffees and the Baggies have had good seasons so far and our landlord reckons it’ll be one of those two that gets seventh place and the chance to play Europa League football next season.

Certainly, in that eventuality more players will need to be bought in during the summer window and it appears Hernandez could be one of them.

His agent, Pablo Bentacur, told Tuttosport (via The Hull Daily Mail🙂

“At Hull City we have only one year of the contract. They would not sell. For the player from an economic point of view it would be a great leap in quality.

“The Changchun Yatai wanted Abel strongly. But we have so many requests for June, including Everton and West Brom.”

Our landlord likes Hernandez and thinks he could make the step up from Hull to one of the bigger clubs in the division providing he settles in well.

There’s no reason why he couldn’t, too, with him doing fairly well in the Premier League and well used to English football by now.

Our landlord reckons of the two, though, he’d be better off at West Brom as he’d likely get more playing time at The Hawthorns than at Goodison Park.

Where should he go? Let us know below!
