Everton's tally of new signings adds up to six with Richarlison, Lucas Digne, Bernard, Yerry Mina, Andre Gomes and Kurt Zouma all having joined the club.

The above names are all quality players who will significantly improve Everton and, while it may take a while for all of them to adapt, manager Marco Silva believes once the gelling process is complete Everton will have a squad ready to go on to have a successful season.

The Breakdown

Speaking ahead of Everton's opening Premier League clash away to newly-promoted Wolves, Silva said: "I’m ready. I’m happy. It’s been a hard working year but everyone is happy at the club. Everyone has a smile on their face. As a club and a squad we are more than ready.” (via the Liverpool Echo).

Assessing what Everton have compared to the Premier League elite, mounting a challenge for a Champions League qualification spot may come just too soon for the Toffees.

But the Merseyside club now have a squad that can at least help them reduce the gap between themselves and the Premier League top six.

In Richarlison, Bernard and Gomes, Everton have the creativity needed to easily finish closer to the Champions League spots and above the rest of the teams in the Premier League, while Zouma and Mina can help Silva's side to become solid and more competitive in big games.

Everton's squad is still some way off compared to the likes of Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea -- who are all likely to be battling it out for a top four finish this season -- while, again, it may take some time for everything to click into place.

But, all in all, it has been a promising summer for the Toffees who should have a much better season this time round.
