Everton boss reveals shocking transfer policy at Goodison Park

It’s been a busy season for Everton in the Premier League and their supporters here in the Tavern are hoping European football still isn’t out of the equation just yet!

The Toffees are still within touching distance of the Europa League places but this time around, the Champions League spots will be just a little out of reach.

Their fans have remained in a positive mood this campaign though and you can regularly find the Everton corner of the pub absolutely rocking!

But that could all be about to change after it was revealed by the Mirror that boss Ronald Koeman doesn’t have overall control over the club’s transfer dealings.

It’s a problem that has blighted managers all over the world for years but as reported in the Mirror, former Saints man Koeman isn’t the man pulling all of the reigns when it comes to potential incomings.

He said: “Full control, no! I cannot control of all the players I want.

“And that’s what I like in the function of Steve Walsh in the club, because yes, he is for the long term and sometimes he is looking for young players who are not first team players,” he added.

Director of Football Steve Walsh is thought to play a big part in the club’s recruitment which whatever way you look at it, means Koeman isn’t in complete control of who leaves and who stays.
