Everton can boost their Champions League hopes by signing this Dortmund midfielder

Everton will be hopeful of improvement next season after what has been a relatively successful season under Ronald Koeman at Goodison Park.

The Toffees will be looking to add some more quality to the squad in the summer, and their fans here in the Transfer Tavern have been making plenty of noise about just who the club should look to sign this summer.

Our landlord has been engaging in conversation with the Everton lot this weekend over at the bar though, and one player he has brought up to them is Dortmund midfielder Shinji Kagawa.

The former Man United midfielder is still only 28, and has his prime years ahead of him. With the future of Ross Barkley up in the air, Everton could well need to delve into the market to secure someone with some creativity, and Kagawa fits that mould perfectly.

A classy operator and someone who can open up any defence with eye of the needle passes and moments of magic, he could be just what Everton need.

Kagawa may also have a point to prove back in England, after being somewhat underused at United during his short spell in Manchester.

Everton fans, what do you think? Would you welcome Kagawa? Let us know in the comments!
