According to recent reports, Everton are keeping tabs on Real Madrid midfielder Isco ahead of a potential January move.

So far this season, the Spain international has started just three times in La Liga under Zinedine Zidane, playing a total of just 344 minutes over his 10 appearances in the Spanish top flight.

And, Spanish publication AS (via Sport Witness) back up Mundo Deportivo’s claim that Carlo Ancelotti’s side are keen on the midfielder, stating that Everton and Sevilla are both interested in making a move for the former Malaga man, whom Andres Iniesta has previously described as an ‘incredible‘ talent.

Transfer Tavern Take

Although his form had slightly tailed off over recent weeks before his injury, it would be difficult to make the argument that James Rodriguez, who Everton signed from Real Madrid on a free transfer last summer, has not been a good addition to Ancelotti’s side.

As such, this could potentially lead to Isco being convinced that Everton is indeed a team he could join to pick up more minutes, as well as somewhere where he could improve his reputation in the game once again.
