Everton are thought to be heading into the winter transfer market with a creative midfielder in mind to bolster their ranks.
Marco Silva already has Richarlison and Gylfi Sigurdsson to choose from, with both having hit the ground in top form this season.
It is being claimed that Samir Nasri, who is currently a free agent, is being considered by those at Goodison Park as a potential backup to the duo previously mentioned.
The 31-year-old is without a club at the moment as he continues to serve a drugs ban, however, the former Arsenal and Manchester City man is allowed to start training with teams from next month.
The rumours appearing to link Nasri with a move to Everton appear to have come out of nowhere and will certainly surprise fans at the club.
The Frenchman has struggled to make something of his career after leaving Manchester City, having had a failed loan spell with Sevilla and a brief stint with Antalyaspor in Turkey.
It would remain to be seen where he would fit into the team, even as a backup, with the likes of Richarlison, Sigurdsson, Bernard and Andre Gomes all available to Silva.
