Everton fans in the Transfer Tavern will be demanding change at the end of the season after a disappointing campaign and could be getting what they wish for.
The Toffees have had an abysmal campaign from what the locals in the bar would have expected at the beginning, having spent almost £200million on new recruits. Those players failed to make an impact during the early days and saw Ronald Koeman lose his job shortly after.
Sam Allardyce was brought into the club, much to the dismay of the punters, to try and help steer the Goodison Park outfit from relegation and has managed to do so successfully. However, according to reports, it is believed Everton will reassess at the end of the campaign and major changes could happen.
According to the Mirror, Wayne Rooney could be set to depart from the club he re-joined last summer as the Toffees will listen to any offers that come in for him. The former Toffee came back to Goodison Park under Bill Kenwright, however, Farhad Moshiri is considering letting both leave Merseyside.
The majority shareholder is also considering the position of Allardyce, with a number of fans unhappy with how he is running the club and has already drawn up a shortlist of names he feels could help take them into European football.
Everton fans in the Tavern will be shocked with the possibility that Rooney could leave the club fewer than 12 months into his second stay at his boyhood team, whilst a number of the locals will be pleased with the news that Allardyce could also be shown the door this summer.
