Everton could be without nine for West Ham visit

Marco Silva and Everton will be preparing for their Premier League match with West Ham United on Sunday, however, they could be without a number of players for the fixture.

According to a report by the Liverpool Echo, the Toffees could, in fact, be without nine men for the clash with the London Stadium outfit at the weekend.

Seamus Coleman has become Silva’s latest setback as he picked up an injury whilst on international duty with the Republic of Ireland, although the extent of his foot injury is not yet known.

However, he looks to have joined the likes of Phil Jagielka, Andre Gomes, Idrissa Gana Gueye, James McCarthy, Michael Keane, Yerry Mina and Theo Walcott on the medical table.

Richarlison is also unavailable for the clash against the Hammers as he will continue to serve the ban he picked up for his red card against AFC Bournemouth.

The Verdict:

Silva has had a difficult start as Everton boss, with the number of injuries he has had to contend with since being in charge.

Seven of those players missed their last match against Huddersfield Town and the manager will be hoping that some of them could make a return for the game against West Ham, where they would have liked to have taken advantage of the situation the Hammers currently find themselves in.

However, with all those possible absences, there could be a chance for other players to make an impression at Goodison Park on Sunday, which could give them enough to get the three points.
